Abstract

Abstract: Environmental factors have great effects on human health. Physiologically, nose is one of our organs in that protect us from unfavorable environment. This study aimed to obtain the nose health status among students of Inpres 10/73 Pandu Elementary School. This was a descriptive observational study with a cross sectional approach. Respondents were students of Inpres 10/73 Pandu Elemntary School. There were 18 respondents consisted of 8 boys and 10 girls. The nose examination showed normal nose in 14 children and abnormalities in 4 children. The examination of the nasal conchae showed hyperemia 5.1% meanwhile hyperemia associated by edema 22.22%. The examination of the nasal mucosa revealed hyperemia 11.11%. The examination of nasal secretion showed mucoid secretion 11.11%, serous secretions 5.56%, and purulent secretion 5.56%. Conclusion: Most of the students had normal nose health status.

Abstrak: Faktor lingkungan berperan sangat besar terhadap kesehatan manusia. Hidung merupakan salah satu organ yang secara fisiologik menjadi pelindung tubuh terhadap lingkungan yang tidak menguntungkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kesehatan hidung pada siswa-siswi Sekolah Dasar Inpres 10/73 Pandu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif survei dengan pendekatan potong lintang. Subjek penelitian ialah siswa-siswi Sekolah Dasar Inpres 10/73 Pandu. Jumlah responden yang mengikuti penelitian ialah 18 anak, terdiri dari 8 laki-laki dan 10 perempuan. Pada hasil pemeriksaan hidung didapatkan hasil normal pada 14 anak dan kelainan pada 4 anak. Pada pemeriksaan konka nasal, persentase hiperemis 5,1% dan persentase hiperemis disertai udim 22,22%. Pada pemeriksaan mukosa nasal, persentase hiperemis 11,11%. Pada pemeriksaan sekret, persentase sekret mukoid 11,11%, sekret serous 5,56%, dan sekret purulen 5,56%. Simpulan: Sebagian besar responden mempunyai status kesehatan hidung yang normal.
