Abstract

ABSTRACT
Agroforestry systems whICH are applied to each region may differ, these differences are influenced by the condition of land, social and cultural. This study aimed to describe the agroforestry systems in Tolok Satu Kecamatan Tompaso Kabupaten Minahasa. The researth was conducted in three weeks starting on August 26, 2013 until 14 September 2013. Farmers who apply agroforestry systems were interviewed based on questionnaire. Their farm lands were surveyed then. The results of this study, there are two patterns of agroforestry systems adopted by the farmers whics are agrisilvikultur and agrosilvopastoral pattern. Forestry trees (cempaka) and agricultural crops (corn, beans, bananas, tomatoes, kidney beans, sweet potatoes, cassava, cloves and coconut),were planted with regular spacing. Livestock kept by farmers such as cows and horses, were tied to the land where the agroforestry system is applied during the day.
