     This research is entitled “Tone in A.E Housman Poemsâ€, the topic that focused on five poems based on purposive sampling. The objective of this research is to identify, clasify and analyze the data also describe the tone in figurative language of those poems. This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The data were taken from A.E Housman poems, and in analyzing the data, it used theory by Laurence Perrine (2018; 863), and the theory also support by Edgar Roberts (1983: 138). The result of this research shows that the tones in A.E Housman poems consist of; praise, death, optimistic, worship, sympathy, cynic, sad, and antipathy. These are illustrated by; connotation, imagery, understatement, irony, metaphor, personificatio, and sinedoke.
