PERANAN IBU RUMAH TANGGA YANG BEKERJA DALAM MENINGKATKAN STATUS SOSIAL KELUARGA DI KELURAHAN TELING ATAS KECAMATAN WANEA KOTA MANADO

Abstract

Housewife role working in this research has aspect to improve family social status, housewife in the dual role try to improve family economic. The purpose of this research is to know general role of a housewife who work, whether capable to improve socio-economic status family especially in the village Teling Atas subsdistrict Wanea in Manado City.

Methods of research used a qualitative approach. In the process collecting data by direct observation and interview respondents using assistive tool such as question hairc. The sample of the research consistend of 75 housewifes scattered in 9 of enviroment.

The result show that of this the research there are several factors important in order to achieve a harmonious relationship, for examples communication between husband and wife in the family, communication between parents and childern, collquy in decisions and understand each other.

From this result it can be concluded that to improve family social status is one of the factor driving a housewife. Housewife working can provide a change of socio-economic status of their families to a better life.
