ABSTRAK - Rancang Bangun Alat Pemotong Singkong Otomatis berguna untuk membantu kegiatan industri rumahan. Dengan hanya menaruh singkong dalam tabung dan dengan sendirinya motor yang dikaitkan dengan pisau pemotong akan berputar dan secara otomatis akan berhenti saat singkong dalam tabung telah habis.

Sistem ini menggunakan  LED dan LDR sebagai sensor. Dimana LED sebagai pemancar dan LDR sebagai penerima. Saat permukaan LDR tertutupi oleh badan singkong maka  hal ini akan memerintahkan motor yang dikaitkan dengan pisau untuk berputar. Dan apabila singkong selesai dipotong secara otomatis mesin akan berhenti..

Alat yang dirancang mampu memotong ± 383 lembar/menit dengan diameter 3,5 cm dengan ketebalan ± 1 mm.

ABSTRACT – Build plans of automatic cassava slicer tool useful for helping home industry. Activity with only put cassava inside the tube and the motor which is attached with slicer blade will turn itself and will automatically stop when the cassava inside the tube has gone.

This system are using LED dan LDR as the sensor. Where LED is used to be transmiter and LDR is the receiver when the LDR surface is covered with cassava it will give a command to a motor which is attached with the blade to turn. And then, when the cassava has finished from cutting, the motor will stop automatically.

This slicer can slive cassava into ± 383 slices/minute, with the diameter 3,5 cm and ± 1 mm width.
