TINDAKAN PENOLAKAN DALAM FILM SOLOMON KANE SUATU ANALISIS PRAGMATIK

Abstract

ABSTRACT
Language is an implementation of man’s idea in communication between two or more
people. Rejection is a verbal communication form in communication, because of refuses
something of the hearer to the speaker and if belongs to perlocutionary act. Rejection can be
devided into direct rejection and indirect rejection.
The research method used in this research descriptive through several steps is preparation
in which the writer watch to get general understanding of the film Solomon Kane and then read
some books in linguistic especially pragmatic. The second step is data collection this means the
writer elicit the data about rejections. The last is data analysis, the writer analyzed the data based
on Leech an Crystal concept.
The result shows that the aspect of rejections in the film Solomon Kane are direct and
indirect rejections. The negative aspect of rejection there are  request, solicitation, offer, in
sistence and statements.
The result is expected to give contribution for help the reader to better understand the
action of rejection are found through the film Solomon Kane and the writer hope that this paper is
able to inspire and help the reader to have a better understanding of how the rejection in the film
Solomon Kane so that the readers are able to find other studies related to the refusal to be
investigated.
