                                                   ABSTRACT

     The writing of this description in general researchers tell us about the History of the Indonesian Red Cross of Manado City. By solving 3 problems, namely Manado state before the existence of PMI in Manado City, history, and role of the Indonesian Red Cross City Manado. The study uses historical methods in which researchers obtain data in archives, interviews, and library studies. From this study revealed that the Red Occupational activities in Manado City were already there in 1945 in helping the injured victims at the time of the Red White in Manado. Until the emergence of the permesta rebellion where people needed humanitarian institutions that could handle the victims of the event. Then in 1960, the Indonesian Red Cross was formed in Manado City. PMI Manado City continues to grow and perform its role in providing assistance to others by showing various contributions especially in providing assistance by relying on the Voluntary Corps that has been equipped with P3K training. Not only that, the Dermanant Blood and Red Cross Teen is one of the most important elements of PMI City Manado. The source of the income of Manado City PMI comes from the Moon Dana held annually with support from the City Government of Manado. Therefore PMI City Manado has done organisational arrangement so that the ability of the manager is well arranged.
