                                                    ABSTRACT

     This research is This research entitled “Delusionist Through dr. Harlow Reid as Reflected in the film Caged Produced by Panic House Films (2021)”. It is intended as a requirement to accomplish the bachelor’s degree at Faculty of Humanities Sam Ratulangi University Manado. This research focusing on the delusion of dr. Harlow Reid. The purposes of this research are to identify, classify, and analyze the types of delusion of dr. Harlow Reid. This research used descriptive qualitative method by Hancock (2009). In identifying and classifying, the writer used theory plot, character, and seting by Mario Klarer (1999) and theory of individual psychology of delusion by Leeser and O’Donohue (1999). In analyzing the data, the writer used theory of film also by Mario Klarer (1999). The results of this research are to reveal of several types of delusions experienced by dr. Harlow Reid while he was in solitary confinement. The delusions dr. Harlow Reid had gone through was (1) Persecutory type, (2) Mixed type, (3) Unspecified type (covers about the persecutory type and grandiose type or excessive imagination of feeling guilty).
