                                                   ABSTRACT

     This research entitled “An Analysis of Delusional Disorder as seen in the film Fractured by Brad Anderson,” is written to identify, classify, and analyze the types of delusions found in the film Fractured. The topic is chosen as it has been one of the researcher’s favorite film genres and it has been concerned for a long time where psychological disorder could be a really dangerous problem for themselves and society and had to be cure carefully Delusional disorder, previously called paranoid disorder, is a type of serious mental illness — called a “psychosis”— in which a person cannot tell what is real from what is imagined. The main feature of this disorder is the presence of delusions, which are unshakable beliefs in something untrue (Munro, 1999:25). This study aims the types of delusion based on Munro’s theory of delusion (1999). The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data were taken from the movie entitled Fractured. The result of this research shows that there are thirty three (33) delusions disorder reflected in the movie, consisting twenty nine (29) persecutory delusion type, and four (4) somatic delusion type.
