PENGARUH REPETITIVE PERIPHERAL MAGNETIC STIMULATION TERHADAP NYERI DAN KEMAMPUAN FUNGSIONAL PADA NYERI PUNGGUNG BAWAH MEKANIK KRONIK
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Objective: To acknowledge the effectiveness of Repetitive Peripheral Magnetic Stimulation on pain and functional ability in chronic mechanical low back pain
Methods: The study was an experimental study with pretest-posttest group design. The subjects were all nurse and administration staff of of Prof. Dr. R.D. Kandou General Hospital Manado with chronic mechanical LBP. A total of 27 meeting the inclusion criteria. All subjects were evaluated before treatment, and after 8 times treatment of Repetitive Peripheral Magnetic Stimulation in the form of pain assessment using Pain Numeric Rating Scale (PNRS) and functional performance using the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI).
Results: There was a very significant reduction in pain (p <0.0001) and a very significant increase in functional performance (p <0.0001) after 8 times of Repetitive Peripheral Magnetic Stimulation
Conclusion: Repetitive Peripheral Magnetic Stimulation can reduce pain and improve functional performance in patients with chronic mechanical low back pain.
