Abstract

The image of an unmanned vehicle (Drone) is an image/photo obtained from an aerial survey using an unmanned aerial vehicle above the earth's surface at a low altitude and the resolution of the photo obtained is very detailed. The use of drones is a mapping solution for a high level of detail because drone images include high resolution images that can provide more detailed information about the mangrove ecosystem, including the height of mangrove trees and their area. The purpose of this study was to compare the area and height of mangrove trees using a drone with in-situ measurements. The method used is measuring tree height using in-situ data and drone data. Remote sensing survey research using drones can be concluded as a solution to acquire mangrove biophysical parameters. Especially the height and area of mangrove trees, measuring the height of mangroves using drones also needs to be studied more deeply in further research. Based on the results of the analysis carried out at this stage by comparing tree height data in DSM from aerial photographs and tree height data in the field, the difference is in the range of 0.21m to 1.95m, with an average of 0.78 meters. And the area is a fairly significant area with the data obtained.
