IDENTIFIKASI DAN PEMETAAN OBJEK POTENSIALMENJADI TEMPAT WISATA DI DESA KALI PROVINSI SULAWESI UTARA

Abstract


Indonesia, including in North Sulawesi Province, has many beautiful and interesting objects and locations. These are potentially to be developed as a tourist attraction, and can provide benefits for the community. This study identified and mapped objects found in Kali Village of North Sulawesi Province, which can be scientifically categorized as potential objects to be developed into tourist attractions. Kali Village is located in Tombatu subdistrict, Southeast Minahasa Regency. In this village there are historical sites and have high historical value. Based on literature studies, this village can be declared as one of the oldest villages in Minahasa civilization. Moreover, in this village, several objects and locations are potentially processed into natural attractions. This research aims: 1) Identify objects and locations in Kali Village that have attractions and potential to become a tourism destination; 2) Mapping objects that have been identified as potential tourist destinations; and 3) Formulate recommendations on strategies for the development of tourism destinations in Kali village. Data is collected using observation methods, interviews, literature studies, and photogrammetry. Interviews are conducted by Expert Opinion method. Respondents consist of competent people, such as Hukum Tua, religious leaders, community leaders, traditional figures, and cultural experts and researchers. Then, data is classified based on the category of tourism attractions, referring to PP Nomor 50 Tahun 2011. To obtain various alternative strategy recommendations, data is analyzed with SWOT analysis methods. The results of this study, there four objects potentially to develop as tourism destination. Namely the Istana Ratu Oki, Lake Bulilin, Persawahan Kali, and Kali Forest. The recommended development strategies for the four objects are to maintain the balance of nature and ecosystem of the object, combine natural and cultural attractions, and optimize the local market. However, it is advisable to research the Carrying Capacity of these four objects, to support sustainable development concept.
