Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the types of seagrass found in the waters of Bajo Village.determine the value of diversity, uniformity, dominance and IVI of seagrass in the waters. This research was conducted in the watersBajo Village, North Sanana District, Sula Islands Regency, North Maluku in October 2022. The research method used in this research is the quadratic transect method. This method consists of 2 sampling stations which are about 400 meters apart. The transect line is drawn perpendicular from the beach to the sea for 100 m and then placed on the right side of the transect line. The distance between one square and another is 10 m so that the total squares on each transect are 11. Data collection was carried out 3 times with a distance of 50 m from the first transect line to another transect line which was carried out in 2 stations. From this method the types of seagrass found in Bajo Village Waters areT. hemprichii, C. rotundata, E. acoroides, H. pinifolia, H. minor, H. uninervis, and C. serrulata. It is known that the highest seagrass Important Value Index at Station 1 is obtained from seagrass speciesC. rotundataand the lowest in seagrass speciesH. pinifolia, and at station 2 the highest IVI was found in seagrass speciesE.acoroidsand the lowest on seagrass speciesH. uninervis. The results of measuring the diversity index at station 1 obtained a value of 1.60, and for station 2 a value of 0.95 was obtained. 2 for 0.17 with, and the dominance value generated at station 1 is 0.30 and for station 2 is 0.70 which characterizes the absence of a dominant species.
