GAMBARAN KECUKUPAN MINERAL MAKRO PADA MAHASISWA SEMESTER II FAKULTAS KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT UNIVERSITAS SAM RATULANGI MANADO SELAMA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19
Abstract
Mineral terdapat di dalam tubuh dan memegang peranan penting dalam pemeliharaan fungsi tubuh, baik pada tingkat sel, jaringan organ maupun fungsi tubuh secara keseluruhan. Sejumlah mineral dibutuhkan oleh tubuh dengan fungsi tertentu. Tercukupinya asupan mineral makro selama masa pandemi COVID-19, terlebih pada usia remaja maka kebutuhan gizi tubuh tetap terpenuhi serta dapat meningkatkan sistem kekebalan tubuh sehingga dapat terhindar dari COVID-19. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kecukupan mineral makro pada mahasiswa semester II Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Sam Ratulangi Selama Masa Pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif, yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni – Oktober 2020, di Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Sam Ratulangi Manado dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 118 responden. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu data umum karakteristik responden dan data asupan dari responden selama 2 hari yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk food record. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asupan kalsium dari responden sebagian besar yaitu sebanyak 85,6% responden berada dalam kategori kurang, asupan natrium sebanyak 94,1% responden dalam kategori kurang, sebanyak 97,5% responden memiliki asupan kalium dalam kategori kurang, asupan fosfor sebanyak 74,6% responden dalam kategori kurang dan ada sebanyak 13,5% responden memiliki asupan dalam kategori lebih, asupan magnesium sebanyak 69,4% responden dalam kategori kurang dan sebanyak 15,3% responden berada dalam kategori lebih.

ABSTRACT
Minerals are found in the body and play an important role in maintaining body functions, both at the cellular level, organ tissues and overall body functions. A number of minerals are needed by the body with certain functions. Adequacy of macro mineral intake during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially at adolescence, the body's nutritional needs are still met and can improve the immune system so that it can avoid COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to determine the adequacy of macro minerals in semester II students of the Faculty of Public Health, Sam Ratulangi University during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This research is descriptive in nature, which was conducted in June - October 2020, at the Faculty of Public Health, Sam Ratulangi University Manado with a total sample of 118 respondents. The research instrument used was general data on respondent characteristics and intake data from respondents for 2 days which were collected using a questionnaire in the form of a food record. The results showed that the calcium intake of the respondents was mostly 85.6% of respondents were in the low category, 94.1% of respondents were in the poor category, 97.5% of respondents had low potassium intake, as much as phosphorus intake. 74.6% of respondents were in the low category and 13.5% of respondents had an intake in the excess category, 69.4% of respondents were in the less category and 15.3% of respondents were in the excess category.
