HUBUNGAN KONDISI IKLIM DENGAN KEJADIAN DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE DI KABUPATEN MINAHASA SELATAN TAHUN 2017-2019
Abstract

ABSTRACT
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease transmittted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. DHF infection is caused by the dengue virus. Climatic factors such as air temperature, rainfall, and humidity affect the spread of DHF. This study aims to determine the relationship between air temperature, rainfall and humidity, and the incidence of dengue fever in the South Minahasa Regency in 2017-2019. This type of research uses analytiical survey research with cross sectiional research design. The research was conducted in South Minahasa Regency with the research time of October-November 2020. The research sample was the number of DHF incidents taken from the South Minahasa District Health Office and air temperature, rainfall, and humidity were taken from BPS Minsel. Correlation test results between the inciidence of dengue fever and air temperature r = -0.421, the incidence of dengue fever with rainfall r = 0.388 and the incidence of dengue fever with air humidity r = 0.123. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between the incidence of dengue fever and air temperature and there is no relationship between the incidence of dengue fever wiith rainfall and humidity in 2017-2019. It is recommended that the Health Office of Minahasa Selatan District be able to control areas that are prone to high incidence of dengue fever and to monitor environmental health in the community on a regular basis as well as provide guidance to the communiity as an effort to prevent dengue disease.
