Sintesis dan Aktivitas Antibakteri Nanopartikel Ag-Zeolit A

Abstract


Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang sintesis nanopartikel Ag-Zeolit A (Ag-ZA) dan aktivitas antibakterinya. Sintesis material dikerjakan menggunakan bahan-bahan dasar aluminium hidroksida, silikon dioksida, dan AgNO3. Material hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi dengan teknik difraksi sinar-X (XRD) dan kemudian diuji aktivitas antibakterinya terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus. Hasil analisis XRD menunjukkan terbentuknya Ag-ZA yang ditandai dengan munculnya puncak-puncak 2θ yang bersesuaian dengan pola difraksi standar yang digunakan. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan bahwa material hasil sintesis dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri. Material Ag-ZA yang dihasilkan dari ZA yang disintesis dengan waktu ageing 60 menit membentuk zona hambat terbesar untuk bakteri E. coli dan S. aureus.

Research on the synthesis of Ag-Zeolite A (Ag-ZA) and its antibacterial activity was performed. Material synthesis was carried out using raw materials of aluminum hydroxide, silicon dioxide, and AgNO3. The synthesized material was characterized by the X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique and then tested for its antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The results of XRD analysis showed the formation of Ag-ZA which was indicated by peaks at 2θ corresponding to the standard diffraction pattern used. The antibacterial activity test showed that the synthesized material could inhibit the growth of the bacteria. Ag-ZA material produced from ZA synthesized at an aging time of 60 minutes formed the largest inhibition zone for E. coli and S. aureus bacteria.
