Abstract

Rice production in Indonesia often decreases and even causes puso due to pests. This is due to the fact that the Indonesian climate is very supportive to the development of pest populations and is also strongly influenced by the behavior of farmers who grow rice continuously without any change in crops. Such conditions will provide a continuous rice pest host without interruption. In addition, the development of pest populations is also caused by the death of natural enemies resulting from the use of chemical pesticides which are inappropriate and imprudent. Poigar District is one of the areas in Bolaang Mongondow Regency, which is a mainstay in the North Sulawesi Province as a rice-producing center. Bolaang Mongondow Regency is still the main rice producing region in North Sulawesi Province, so it has an important role in efforts to fulfill people's food, especially with agricultural products in the form of superior rice. The solution in PKM is to provide motivation and guide farmers to apply the technology of the use of the fungus Beaveria bassiana on the Leptocorisa acuta pest. PKM activities are carried out in Wineru Village, Poigar Sub-district, Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This dedication was carried out with the aim of applying the science and technology for the community about the use of the pathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana on Leptocorisa acuta rice pests in Bolaang Mangondouw Regency.
