ANALYSIS OF CLUSTERING OF WEATHER AND CLIMATE CHANGE IN MANADO CITY USING THE K-MEANS METHOD

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the clustering analysis of weather and climate changes in Manado City using the K-Means method. This study uses daily data on rainfall, air temperature, air humidity, duration of sunlight and wind direction at full speed as many as 365 data throughout 2021 and then clustering was carried out using the K-Means method. The results of this study show that the highest rainfall intensity is in cluster 3, from January to mid-March and the end of November to December with an average rainfall of 20-38.8mm, an average air temperature of 24.7-27.8°C, an average air humidity of 80-94%, duration of sunlight ranging from 2-8 hours, and wind direction at full speed ranging from 250-360°.
