The depiction of the ship’s hull was made to determine it’s form, model and volume. An experiment has been done to compare pantograph and photography technique in the drawing process. The research object is a multi-fungtional fishing vessel, owned by Dinas Perikanan dan Kelautan Manado, it has dimention lenght (L) 10,75m (Loa), width (B) 2,75m and depth (D) 1,3m. The time needed to transcrible the boat design using photography technique are 35-45 minutes, while the pantograph technique needs 85-150 minutes. In the drawing process, pantograph techniques require refinement to duplicate the hull shape, while the photography technique is easier to process the image because it uses digital image program.
Key words: Hull, depiction of the hull ship used pantograph and photography technique.
