ANALISIS KOMPARATIF USAHA TRANSPORTASI PERAHU WISATA SEBELUM PANDEMI COVID-19 DAN MASA NORMAL BARU DI KECAMATAN WORI KABUPATEN MINAHASA UTARA

Abstract

The beauty of the beaches in Wori District is used by the community to make a tourist boat transportation business for tourists who come to visit. The restrictions on community activities carried out by the government in order to suppress the positive number of covid-19 have caused the number of tourist visits who usually take advantage of the marine tourism boat transportation business in Wori District to decrease. The implementation of the new normal period was finally carried out so that the tourism boat transportation business actors could return to their business. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of the boat transportation tourism business in Wori District, North Minahasa Regency before the covid-19 pandemic and during the new normal, as well to analyse the differences in the boat transportation business that was run before the covid-19 pandemic and the new normal.

The basic method used in this research is a case study. This research was conducted in 3 (three) villages, namely Wori Village, Lantung Village and Kulu Village which were selected using purposive sampling. Respondents were taken using the census method. Data collection for respondents was carried out by means of direct observation and interviews with the business actors of tourist boat transportation. The data collected consists of primary and secondary data. The research data were analysed by statistical paired sample test t test. Based on the research results and analysis result, it can be concluded: (1) The condition of the tourist boat transportation business in Wori District, North Minahasa Regency before the covid-19 pandemic had a better income level; (2) The condition of the tourist boat transportation business in Wori District, North Minahasa Regency during the new normal period, experienced a sharp decline in the number of visitors and also affected people’s income; (3) The results of the analysis using the t-test statistic resulted in significant differences in all observed variables.

Abstrak

Keindahan laut dan pantai yang ada di Kecamatan Wori dimanfaatkan masyarakat untuk membuat usaha transportasi perahu wisata bagi wisatawan yang datang berkunjung. Pembatasan-pembatasan aktivitas masyarakat yang dilakukan pemerintah dalam rangka menekan angka positif covid-19, menyebabkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan yang biasanya memanfaatkan usaha transportasi perahu wisata bahari yang ada di Kecamatan Wori ikut menurun. Penerapan masa normal baru akhirnya dilakukan agar para pelaku usaha transportasi perahu wisata dapat kembali menjalankan usahanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi usaha wisata transportasi perahu yang ada di Kecamatan Wori Kabupaten Minahasa Utara sebelum masa pandemi covid-19 dan pada masa normal baru, juga untuk menganalisis perbedaan usaha transportasi perahu yang dijalankan sebelum pandemi covid-19 dan masa normal baru.

Metode dasar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di 3 (tiga) desa, yaitu Desa Wori, Desa Lantung dan Desa Kulu yang dipilih dengan menggunakan cara purposive sampling. Responden diambil dengan menggunakan metode sensus. Pengambilan data kepada responden dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan wawancara langsung dengan para pelaku usaha transportasi perahu wisata. Data yang dikumpulkan terdiri atas data primer dan sekunder. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan statistik uji t paired sample test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan hasil analisis, maka dapat disimpulkan: 1) Kondisi usaha transportasi perahu wisata yang ada di Kecamatan Wori Kabupaten Minahasa Utara sebelum masa pandemi covid-19 mempunyai tingkat pendapatan yang lebih baik; 2) Kondisi usaha transportasi perahu wisata yang ada di Kecamatan Wori Kabupaten Minahasa Utara pada masa normal baru, mengalami penurunan tajam pada jumlah pengunjung dan berpengaruh pula pendapatan masyarakat; dan 3) Hasil analisis menggunakan statistik uji t menghasilkan perbedaan yang signifikan pada semua variabel pengamatan.
