TARAF HIDUP KELUARGA ANAK BUAH KAPAL (ABK) KAPAL PAJEKO DI KELURAHAN BATULUBANG KECAMATAN LEMBEH SELATAN KOTA BITUNG

Abstract

ABK is a crew member whose income depends on the catch and also the profit-sharing system. The problem is how the abk family meets their daily needs and how they family's standard of living is, because their catch is heavily influenced by the season and weather. The purpose of this study is to determine the number and source of income of the ABK pajeko family, to find out the amount and type of family expenses, and analyse the contribution of ABK's income to the total family income, as well as to find out the standard of living of the ABK pajeko family in Batulubang Village. The method used in this study is the survey method. The population in this study is a family of pajeko ship crew in Batulubang Village, which numbers 40 people. Data retrieval method using census method. The data collected is primary data and secondary data. Primary data collection was carried out by means of guided interviews with questionnaires and observations. Secondary data collection is by citing existing data from relevant agencies or previous research. Standard of living in analysis with Engel Index.

Based on the results of the study, it is known that the average income of the family of the crew of the pajeko ship in Batulubang Village for one year is Rp. 40,152,500, sourced from the main job as a pajeko ship crew member and side job. The contribution of ABK's income to family income is 94.2%, this means that work as a pajeko ship crew member is the foundation of family life. The family expenditure of the crew of the pajeko ship consists of total food expenditure and total non-food expenditure. Average food expenditure of one year is Rp. 21,000,000, and average non-food expenditure for one year is Rp. 19,152,500, so that the average family expenditure for one year is Rp. 40,152,500. Engel Index analysis obtained at 52.3%, this means that 52.3% of the total income of ABK families in Batulubang Village is used to meet food needs only. This means that the welfare level of pajeko ship crew in Batulubang Village is still relatively low.

Abstrak

ABK merupakan anak buah kapal yang pendapatannya bergantung pada hasil tangkapan dan juga sistem bagi hasil. Permasalahannya adalah bagaimana keluarga ABK tersebut memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari dan bagaimana taraf hidup keluarga mereka, karena hasil tangkapan mereka banyak dipengaruhi oleh musim dan cuaca. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jumlah dan sumber pendapatan keluarga ABK Kapal Pajeko, untuk mengetahui jumlah dan jenis pengeluaran keluarga, dan menganalisis kontribusi pendapatan ABK terhadap total pendapatan keluarga, serta untuk mengetahui taraf hidup keluarga ABK Kapal Pajeko di Kelurahan Batulubang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah ABK Kapal Pajekoyang sudah berkeluarga yang ada di Kelurahan Batulubang yang berjumlah 40 orang. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan metode sensus. Data yang dikumpulkan yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan cara wawancara yang dipandu dengan kuisioner dan observasi. Pengumpulan data sekunder yaitu dengan mengutip data yang sudah ada dari instansi terkait ataupun penelitian yang terdahulu. Taraf hidup di analisis dengan Indeks Engel.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pendapatan rata-rata keluarga ABK Kapal Pajeko di Kelurahan Batulubang adalah Rp. 40.152.500 per tahun, bersumber dari pekerjaan pokok sebagai ABK Kapal Pajeko dan pekerjaan sampingan. Kontribusi pendapatan ABK terhadap pendapatan keluarga yaitu 94,2%, ini berarti bahwa pekerjaan sebagai ABK Kapal Pajeko merupakan tumpuan kehidupan keluarga. Pengeluaran keluarga ABK Kapal Pajeko terdiri dari total pengeluaran pangan dan total pengeluaran non pangan. Rata-rata pengeluaran pangan sebesar Rp. 21.000.000 per tahun, dan rata-rata pengeluaran non pangan sebesar Rp. 19.152.500 per tahun, sehingga rata-rata pengeluaran keluarga sebesar Rp. 40.152.500 per tahun. Analisis Indeks Engel yang diperoleh sebesar 52,3%, ini berarti bahwa 52,3% dari total pendapatan keluarga ABK di Kelurahan Batulubang digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan saja. Hal ini berarti bahwa tingkat kesejahteraan ABK Kapal Pajeko di Kelurahan Batulubang masih tergolong rendah.
