PERSEPSI NELAYAN TERHADAP PENDIDIKAN ANAK DI PULAU MANTEHAGE DESA BANGO KECAMATAN WORI KABUPATEN MINAHASA UTARA

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine fishermen's perceptions of children's education on Mantehage Island, Bango Village, Wori District, North Minahasa Regency. The research method used is the survey method, the population in this study is the fishing community in Bango Village who already have children. The data collection method is done by sampling, the data used are secondary data and primary data. This study used 2 scales, namely the Guttman scale and the Likert scale.
Based on the results of the study it was found that fishermen's knowledge of children's education in Bango Village based on Guttman scale analysis found that the average respondent knew and understood the benefits of education as much as 73.33%, while respondents who stated they did not understand and had problems in children's education were at 26, 67%. There are 3 dimensions to see perceptions, namely the education dimension as knowledge of being a fisherman has an average score of 2.8%, which means that perception is important, while the educational dimension for children's skills has an average score of 2.9% which means it is very important, and the dimensions of fishermen's perceptions of children's education has an average score of 1.76% which means it is quite important.

Abstrak
Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui persepsi nelayan terhadap pendidikan anak di Pulau Mantehage Desa Bango Kecamatan Wori Kabupaten Minahasa Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat nelayan di Desa Bango yang sudah memiliki anak. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan dengan pengambilan sampel, data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder dan data primer. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 skala yaitu skala guttman dan skala likert.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pengetahuan nelayan terhadap pendidikan anak di Desa Bango berdasarkan analisis skala Guttman di ketahui rata-rata responden mengetahui dan paham akan manfaat pendidikan sebanyak 73,33% sedangkan responden yang menyatakan kurang paham dan memiliki kendala dalam pendidikan anak yaitu di 26,67%. Terdapat 3 dimensi untuk melihat persepsi yaitu dimensi pendidikan sebagai pengetahuan menjadi nelayan memiliki skor rataan 2,8% yang artinya persepsinya penting, sedangkan dimensi pendidikan untuk keterampilan anak memiliki skor rataan 2,9% yang artinya sangat penting, dan dimensi persepsi nelayan terhadap pendidikan anak memiliki skor rataan 1,76% yang artinya cukup penting.
