Kerusakan terumbu karang </em><em>secara</em><em> </em><em>tidak</em><em> </em><em>langsung</em><em> dapat menyebabkan penurunan populasi Echinodermata  yang ada di </em><em> P</em><em>antai Tanamon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keanekaragaman Echinodermata di Pantai Tanamon, Kecamatan Sinonsayang</em><em>,</em><em> Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan, </em><em>Provinsi</em><em> Sulawesi Utara. Pengambilan sampel pada tiap lokasi dilakukan pada saat surut terendah dengan menggunakan metode purposive random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pantai Tanamon dihuni 18 jenis Echinodermata yang </em><em>merupakan</em><em> anggota dari 4 kelas</em><em> </em><em>yaitu </em><em>Kelas Asteroidea (4 jenis), </em><em>K</em><em>elas Ophiuroidea (6 jenis), </em><em>K</em><em>elas Holothuroidea (3 jenis) dan </em><em>K</em><em>elas Echinoidea (5 jenis). Keanekaragaman Echinodermata di Pantai Tanamon tergolong sedang dengan nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H’) di Stasiun I, II, III berturut-turut yaitu 1,83; 2,56; 2,37.</em></p> <p><em>Kata kunci : </em><em>k</em><em>eanekaragaman Echinodermata, Pantai Tanamon, Sulawesi Utara</em></p> <p><em> </em></p> <p><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong><strong><em> </em></strong></p> <p><strong><em> </em></strong></p> <p><em>Echinoderms usually appear in </em><em>the </em><em>intertidal </em><em>area </em><em>especially in the</em><em> </em><em> coral reef ecosystem. </em><em>The damage of c</em><em>oral reef may indirectly cause the decline of the existing Echinoderms </em><em>at </em><em>Tanamon </em><em>B</em><em>each. This study aim</em><em>ed</em><em> to analyze Echinoderms diversity of Tanamon Beach, Sinonsayang District, South Minahasa Regency</em><em>, </em><em>North Sulawesi Province. Sampling was carried out </em><em>in </em><em>each location o</em><em>f</em><em> the lowest tide using </em><em>the </em><em>method</em><em> of</em><em> purposive random sampling. The results showed that 18 species </em><em>of </em><em>Echinoderms</em><em> </em><em>i</em><em>nhabited</em><em> Tanamon Beach which </em><em>grouped into </em><em> 4 classes</em><em> i.e. </em><em>Class</em><em> Asteroidea (4 species), Ophiuroidea (6 species), Holothuroidea (3 species) and Echinoidea (5 species). Echinoderms diversity </em><em>in the </em><em>Tanamon</em><em> </em><em>Beach was </em><em>classified </em><em>into m</em><em>oderate </em><em>class with diversity index (</em><em>H ') </em><em>in the </em><em>Station I</em><em>, II, III </em><em>were </em><em>1.83</em><em>; 2.56; 2.37</em><em>, </em><em> </em><em>respectively</em><em>.</em><em> </em></p> <p><em>Keywords: Echinoderms diversity, Tanamon Beach, North Sulawesi</em></p> ER -
