PROFIL VERUKA VULGARIS DI POLIKLINIK KULIT DAN KELAMIN RSUP PROF. DR. R. D. KANDOU MANADO PERIODE JANUARI – DESEMBER 2012

Abstract: Verruca vulgaris is a benign proliferation of the skin caused by human papilloma virus (HPV). Verruca vulgaris is found in all ages, especially in children. The HPVs are spread by direct contact. The predilection sites are mainly in the extensor part of the limb and sites with frequent trauma such as hands, fingers, and knees. This study aimed to determine the profile of verruca vulgaris in patients at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado General Hospital in 2012. This was a retrospective and descriptive study about gender, age, occupation, location of the lesion, and management. The results showed that there were 27 patients with verruca vulgaris (0.68%) out of 4,023 patients treated in the Dermatology Clinic at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou General Hospital Manado. There were 15 males (55,6%) out of 27 patients; 10 patients (37.04%) in the age group of 15-24 years; the most frequent occupation were student (9 patients; 33.33%); the locations of lesions at the upper extremity were found in 13 patients (48.16%); and the electrical surgical treatment was performed in all 27 patients (100%).

Abstrak: Veruka vulgaris adalah proliferasi jinak pada kulit yang disebabkan oleh human papilloma virus (HPV). Veruka vulgaris ditemukan pada semua usia tetapi lebih sering pada anak. Cara penyebaran virus ini melalui kontak langsung. Tempat predileksi terutama di ekstremitas bagian ekstensor dan tempat yang sering terjadi trauma seperti tangan, jari, dan lutut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil veruka vulgaris pada pasien yang dirawat di RSUP. Prof. Dr. R. D Kandou Manado pada tahun 2012. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif retrospektif tentang jenis kelamin, umur, pekerjaan, lokasi lesi, dan penataksanaan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan 27 pasien dengan veruka vulgaris (0,68%) dari 4023 pasien yang dirawat di Poliklinik Kulit dan Kelamin RSUP. Prof. DR. R. D. Kandou Manado. Jenis kelamin laki-laki 15 pasien (55,6%), kelompok umur 15-24 tahun 10 pasien (37,04%), pekerjaan terbanyak ialah mahasiswa 9 pasien (33,33%), lokasi lesi yang sering terserang ialah ekstremitas atas 13 pasien (48,16%), dan penatalaksanaan yang diberikan ialah terapi bedah listrik 27 pasien (100%).
