STATUS KEBERSIHAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA PENGGUNA GIGI TIRUAN SEBAGIAN LEPASANDI RSGMP-PSPDG FK UNSRAT MANADO

Abstract: Oral hygiene is one of the main factor for maintaining healthy teeth and mouth from the strange objects. The strange objects that contain in the mouth such as removable partial denture would be risked on oral health itself. This research aims to see the status of oral hygiene on the removable partial dentures user.This research is descriptive study with a total sampling method. The number of sample is 40 patients consist of 31 women and 9 men. Data retrieved using the checklist form after the patients use removable partial denture during the past year. Based on the results, 40 respondents with percentage that has OHI-S in good category is 45%, moderate category is 47,5% and bad category is 7,5%. Most of oral hygiene is on removable partial denture user with moderate category.

Abstrak: Kebersihan gigi dan mulut merupakan salah satu faktor utama untuk menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut dari benda asing. Benda asing yang terdapat di dalam mulut seperti gigi tiruan sebagian lepasan apabila tidak dibersihkan akan beresiko pada kesehatan gigi dan mulut itu sendiri. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat status kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada pengguna gigi tiruan sebagian lepasan.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode pengambilan sampel total sampling. Jumlah sampel 40 pasien yang terdiri dari 31 perempuan dan 9 laki – laki. Data diambil menggunakan formulir pemeriksaan setelah pasien menggunakan gigi tiruan sebagian lepasan selama 1 tahun terakhir. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan 40 responden dengan persentase yang memiliki kategori OHI-S baik 45%, memiliki kategori OHI-S sedang 47,5% dan memiliki OHI-S buruk 7,5%. Kebersihan gigi dan mulut paling banyak pada pengguna gigi tiruan sebagian lepasan dengan kategori sedang.
