Abstract: Blind people have limited ability to receive any knowledge through their sight. A false perception can lead to wrong actions including the act of oral health maintenance, therefore, the risk of oral diseases such as caries, is higher in blind people than in normal ones. This study was aimed to determine the relationship between the level of oral health knowledge and caries status. Respondents were selected by using total sampling technique. This was a descriptive analytical study with a cross sectional design. Data were obtained by using questionnaires and caries status examination, the DMF-T (Decay, Missing, Filling - Teeth), and were presented in frequency distribution tables. The results showed that of 31 respondents aged 18-45 years old, there were 18 (58.1%) with poor knowledge and 13 (41.9%) with good knowledge. There were also 25 respondents (80.6%) with high caries status and 6 (19.4%) with low caries status. The Chi-Square showed a significant relationship between the level of oral health knowledge and caries status (p=0,022). Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between the oral health knowledge and caries status among blind people.
