Kepatuhan Pasien Menjalani Perawatan Saluran Akar Multi Kunjungan di Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut Universitas Sam Ratulangi

Abstract: Dental caries is often found with a high prevalence in Indonesia. Untreated dental caries can cause disease in the dental pulp and eventually require root canal treatment. There are two types of Root Canal Treatment (RCT) namely one-visit RCT and multi-visit RCT. This study aimed to determine patient compliance with multi-visit root canal treatment at the Dental and Oral Hospital of Sam Ratulangi University, Manado, Indonesia, in 2018-2019. This was a descriptive and observational study. Population in this study are medical records of patients who visited for dental treatment at the Dental and Oral Hospital of Sam Ratulangi University in 2018-2019. The number of subjects used was 85 medical records. The results showed that 56 patients (66%) adhered to a multi-visit RCT and 29 patients (34%) did not. In conclusion, patients who underwent a multi-visit RCT at the Dental and Oral Hospital of Sam Ratulangi University were classified as good or obedient.

Abstrak: Karies gigi merupakan penyakit gigi yang banyak dijumpai pada masyarakat di Indonesia dengan prevalensi yang tinggi. Karies gigi yang tidak dirawat dapat menyebabkan penyakit pada pulpa gigi yang pada akhirnya memerlukan perawatan saluran akar. Terdapat dua jenis Perawatan Saluran Akar (PSA), yaitu PSA satu kali kunjungan dan PSA multi kunjungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepatuhan pasien menjalani perawatan saluran akar multi kunjungan di Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut Universitas Sam Ratulangi, Manado, Indonesia, tahun 2018-2019. Jenis penelitian ini ialah deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode observasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu rekam medis dari pasien yang berkunjung melakukan perawatan gigi di Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut Universitas Sam Ratulangi pada tahun 2018-2019. Jumlah subjek penelitian yang digunakan sebanyak 85 rekam medis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 56 pasien (66%) patuh menjalani PSA multi kunjungan dan 29 pasien (34%) tidak patuh. Simpulan penelitian ini ialah pasien yang menjalani PSA multi kunjungan di Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut Universitas Sam Ratulangi tergolong baik atau patuh.
