This study, titled “Analysis of Privacy Theory in Public Activities at the God Bless City Park Area, Tondano” aims to understand how the concept of privacy is manifested through visitor behavior in public spaces. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, using field observations and in-depth interviews with visitors across four activity zones: Zone A (social area), Zone B (hangout area), Zone C (recreational park), and Zone D (culinary area). The findings reveal variations in the level of privacy among these zones. Zones A and D exhibit low privacy levels with high social interaction intensity, while Zone C demonstrates a higher degree of privacy due to its calmer atmosphere and greater interpersonal distance. These patterns align with Irwin Altman’s theory of privacy as a boundary regulation process, where individuals dynamically adjust their social interactions based on spatial context and personal privacy needs.
