Abstract

Indonesia is a unitary state consisting of a cluster of islands spread from Sabang to Merauke with a diversity of cultures, tribes, races and has many historical places that are ancestral relics that have cultural values that we must maintain and preserve.

Pulutan Village is a village in Pulutan District, Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi Province, with an area of 10.5 KM. It is in this village that there is a freshwater spring on the shoreline called by the local people tiwud'di Tamangen. According to local beliefs, Tiwud'di Tamangen is an ancestral relic so it must be preserved from time to time. The people of Pulutan Village have made Tiwud'di Tamangen a source of clean water for daily use and also believe it to be a panacea that can cure diseases.

With the use of Tiwud'di Tamangen as a tourist attraction, it makes community activities in Pulutan Village limited. It used to be a place where clean water was taken by the community for free, now people have to pay to enter the place. So with the use of Tiwud'di Tamangen as a tourist attraction, it becomes a challenge for the people of Pulutan Village to maintain local wisdom on Tiwud'in Tamangen as well as the impact of community economic growth and impact on the environment around Tiwud'in Tamangen
