Gim Edukasi 2D Cerita Rakyat Burung Kekekow dan Gadis Miskin

Abstract

Abstrak — Cerita rakyat merupakan cerita yang berasal dan berkembang dalam masyarakat pada masa lampau dan terus dilestarikan sampai saat ini. Namun pada zaman sekarang cerita rakyat sudah kurang popular, perkembangan teknologi informatika juga mempengaruhi minat dalam membaca cerita rakyat. Banyak orang lebih meminati menonton program televisi dan bermain smartphone. Salah satu cerita rakyat yang ada di Sulawesi Utara adalah “Burung Kekekow dan Gadis Miskinâ€. Tujuan dipilihnya cerita rakyat ini untuk dijadikan gim edukasi yaitu untuk menarik minat masyarakat supaya lebih mengenal cerita rakyat serta sebagai salah satu upaya pelestarian budaya yang ada di Sulawesi Utara. Dalam Penelitian ini digunakan metode MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle). Gim Cerita Rakyat Burung Kekekow dan Gadis Miskin menjadi sarana untuk memperkenalkan salah satu cerita rakyat yang ada di Sulawesi Utara kepada generasi muda maupun masyarakat umum dengan cara yang menarik dari segi tampilan, alur cerita maupun gameplay.

Abstract — Folklore is a story that originated and developed in society, in the past and has been preserved until today. But nowadays folklore is less popular, the development of information technology also affects the interest in reading folklore. Many people are more interested in watching television programs and playing smartphones. One of the folklore in North Sulawesi is "Kekekow Bird and the Poor Girl". The purpose of choosing this folklore to be used as an educational game is to attract the public's interest to get to know folklore more and as one of the efforts to preserve the culture in North Sulawesi. In this study, the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method was used. The Kekekow Bird and Poor Girl Folklore Game is a means to introduce one of the folk tales in North Sulawesi to the younger generation and the general public in an interesting way in terms of appearance, storyline and gameplay.
