ANALISIS KONTRASTIF KATA GANTI ORANG DALAM BAHASA INGGRIS DAN BAHASA MORI

Abstract

                                                    ABSTRACT

     This research is entitled “Analisis Kontrastif Kata Ganti Orang dalam Inggris dan Bahasa Moriâ€. This research focused identifying and classifying Personal Pronouns in English and Mori Language and it is a research which focuses on syntactic analysis by looking at the kinds of personal pronoun. In indetifying and classifying the data, the researcher uses the theory of Aarts and Aarts (1982) and to contrast the data, he uses the theory of Lado (1975). The results of this research show that English language have eight kinds of personal pronouns, namely: first person singular and plural, second person singular and plural, third person singular and plural. Third person singular is divided into three kinds those are: masculine, feminine, and netral. Same with English language, Mori language also have eight kinds of personal pronouns namely: first person singular and plural, second person singular and plural, third person singular and plural also in third person singular is divided into three kinds those are: masculine, feminine, and netral The differences of both languages can be seen in second person.. In English, second person has one kind while in Mori language has four kinds.
