NILAI MORAL MELALUI KARAKTER WILBUR YANG SEBAGAIMANA TERCANTUM DALAM NOVEL CHARLOTTE’S WEB KARYA ELWYN BROOKS WHITE

Abstract

                                               ABSTRACT

     This research entitled “Nilai Moral melalui Karakter Wilbur yang sebagaimana Tercantum dalam Novel Charlotte’s Web Karya Elwyn Brooks White†is intended to fulfill a requirement to accomplish the Sarjana degree at Faculty of Humanities, Sam Ratulangi University, Manado. It aims at the moral values of Wilbur as the main character in novel Charlotte’s Web. Wilbur is a lovable pig; who are innocent but brave. Wilbur is filled with wonder and everyone fall in love with him. This study uses the theory of Nicolai Hartmann (1932), and uses a descriptive method in analyzing the data in the novel. The results show that the main character, Wilbur, has the moral values trait such as consciousness, suffering, happiness, courage, trust, love, loneliness, and friendship.
