Background: Several health issues affected adolescents, particularly anemia and malnutrition, which were interrelated. In Indonesia, 42% of female adolescents were anemic. 16,6% of female adolescents were wasting away and 9.7% were underweight, which indicated malnutrition. Being anemic in female adolescents could lead to long-term health problems. A lack of awareness about anemia and unbalanced eating habits contributed to these issues. Objective: To determine the hemoglobin and erythrocyte index of adolescent girls from Malalayang 1 Barat, Manado City. Methods: This type of research was descriptive methods to provide an overview of hemoglobin and erythrocyte indices. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 30. This study utilized primary data by taking venous blood and conducting laboratory tests. Results: In total, 28 female adolescents had normal hemoglobin levels. One 16-year-old adolescent (20%) and one 17-year-old adolescent (14.3%) had low hemoglobin levels. It was found that 5 adolescents had low erythrocyte indices. 4 adolescents had a low MCV, 5 adolescents had a low MCH, and 1 adolescent had a low MCHC. It was determined that 2 of the female adolescents had microcytic anemia. Conclusion: In a sample of 30 female adolescents, there were more adolescents with normal hemoglobin levels and erythrocyte indices. Only 2 adolescents had low hemoglobin levels (<12 g/dL) and 5 female adolescents had low erythrocyte indices.
