Introduction: Platelets and hematocrit are the key indicators used to diagnose dengue fever. A lower platelet count and a higher hematocrit can lead to a more severe dengue fever. This study aimed to determine the severity of dengue fever at the Janti Community Health Center in Sukun District, Malang City. We wanted to determine whether there was a correlation between hematocrit and platelet levels. Methods: This study used a retrospective design. Using complete sampling, 87 participants were selected from a group of 87 elderly people with dengue fever. Medical records from the Janti Community Health Center in Sukun District, Malang City, served as a secondary data source. Spearman's Rho test was used to analyze the data. Results: Overall, the data showed that 82.8% of respondents had high hematocrit levels, 86.2% had low platelets, and 51.7% had grade I dengue fever severity. Dengue fever severity was significantly correlated with platelet and hematocrit levels (p-value = (0.000) < (0.05)) based on Spearman's Rho test results. Conclusion: Lower platelet levels and higher hematocrit levels indicate more severe dengue fever cases.
