Background: Coronary heart disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Coronary heart disease is caused by multifactorial factors, both non-modifiable factors and modifiable factors such as smoking behavior, cholesterol and a history of diabetes mellitus. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between risk factors such as smoking behavior, diabetes mellitus, and cholesterol with coronary heart disease. Methods: This study was conducted retrospectively by utilizing data from patient medical records with a total sample of 70 patients diagnosed with coronary heart disease at Hermana Lembean General Hospital. Results: Data analysis using the chi-square test showed that there was a significant relationship between the incidence of Coronary Heart Disease and diabetes mellitus (ρ = 0.0000), smoking history (ρ = 0.000) and high cholesterol (ρ = 0.000) at RSU Hermana Lembean. Conclusion: Smoking behavior, diabetes mellitus, and high cholesterol are significantly associated with the incidence of coronary heart disease. It is hoped that the results of this study can serve as a framework and reference material for implementing education and the care process for patients with coronary heart disease who are still hospitalized.
