HUBUNGAN VULVA HYGIENE DENGAN PENCEGAHAN INFEKSI LUKA PERINEUM PADA IBU POST PARTUM DI RUMAH SAKIT PANCARAN KASIH GMIM MANADO

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Vulva hygiene is clean the vulva and the surrounding area in woman who were
patients at parturition or can not do it alone. Vulva hygiene also aims to prevent infection, to
stitch the perineal wound healing and for the cleanliness of the perineal. The purpose of this
study analyzed the relationship vulva hygiene with prevention of perineal wound infection in
the mother post partum in the Hospital Pancaran Kasih GMIM Manado. The research
design used in this research is descriptive analytic design with cross sectional approach. The
results using the Chi-Square test values obtained significant vulva hygiene, namely P = 0,001
< á = 0,05. The conclusions of this research is vulva hygiene relationship with the
prevention of wound infection of the perineal in the mother post partum. Suggestion for other
researchers are expected to conduct further research in orderto be aware of factors other
factors that affect the prevention of perineal wound infection in the mother post partum.

ABSTRAK : Vulva hygiene adalah membersihkan vulva dan daerah sekitarnya pada pasien
wanita yang sedang nifas atau tidak dapat melakukannya sendiri. Vulva hygiene juga
bertujuan untuk mencegah infeksi, untuk penyembuhan luka jahitan perineum dan untuk
kebersihan perineum. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisa hubungan vulva hygiene dengan
pencegahan infeksi luka perineum pada ibu post partum di Rumah Sakit Pancaran Kasih
GMIM Manado. Desain Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain
deskriptif analitik dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel diambil dengan
teknik Total Sampling. Hasil Penelitian dengan menggunakan Uji Chi-square diperoleh
nilai vulva hygiene yang bermakna yaitu p=0,001 yang lebih kecil dari á = 0,05.
Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini ada hubungan vulva hygiene dengan pencegahan infeksi
luka perineum pada ibu post partum. Saran bagi peneliti lain diharapkan dapat melakukan
penelitian lanjutan agar dapat mengetahui faktor – faktor lain yang mempengaruhi
pencegahan infeksi luka perineum pada ibu post partum.
