PENGARUH LATIHAN AEROBIK MENGGUNAKAN BICYCLE ERGOMETRY TERHADAP KEBUGARAN KARDIORESPIRASI PADA PASCASTROKE KRONIK

ABSTRACT
Objective: The objective of this study is to determine whether the effect of aerobic exercise using bicycle ergometry after chronic stroke patients may increase cardiorespiratory fitness. Methods: This study uses an experimental design with one group pretest and postest design. The subject of research are 19 patients who met the inclusion criteria. A total of 19 subject followed by a cardiorespiratory fitness program. Exercise done 12 times for 4 weeks. VO2maxof subjects are measured before and 4 weeks after exercise. Results: There was a statistically significant improvement of cardiorespiratory fitness in patient chronic stroke after bicycle ergometry for 4 weeks (there was very significant improvement in VO2max between before and after intervention with p < 0,0001). Conclusion: aerobic exercise using bicycle ergometry can improve cardiorespiratory fitness (VO2max) in after chronic stroke.

Tujuan: Untuk menentukan apakah pengaruh latihan aerobik menggunakan bicycle ergometry pascastroke kronik dapat meningkatkan kebugaran kardiorespirasi. Metode: Desain penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan one group pretest dan postest design. Subjek penelitian adalah 19 penderita pascastroke kronik yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Kesembilanbelas subjek tersebut mengikuti latihan bicycle ergometry sebanyak 12 kali selama 4 minggu. VO2max subjek penelitian diukur sebelum dan sesudah 4 minggu latihan. Hasil: Terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan secara statistik terhadap kebugaran kardiorespirasi dari penderita pascastroke kronik setelah latihan bicycle ergometry selama 4 minggu (terdapat peningkatan yang sangat signifikan pada VO2max antara sebelum dan sesudah intervensi dengan p < 0,0001). Kesimpulan: Latihan aerobik menggunakan bicycle ergometry dapat meningkatkan kebugaran kardiorespirasi (VO2max) pada pascastroke kronik.
