Abstract

Valvular heart disease (VHD), including aortic, mitral, tricuspid, and pulmonic, is a leading contributor to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality worldwide. Severe symptomatic VHD can results in death within 2-3 years if left untreated. Rheumatic heart disease (RHD) remains by far the most common cause of primary VHD worldwide. Physical inactivity is a problem for heart valve surgery patients. Cardiac rehabilitation is given to prevent complications from this condition. This case report is about 18 years old man who suffers from heart valve disease (mitral regurgitation/MR and aortic regurgitation/AR) and about to undergo dual heart valve replacement. This patient was given a prehabilitation program before the surgery and after the surgery, this patient was given cardiac rehabilitation. The patient has completed the second phase of cardiac rehabilitation on day 52 post surgery without complaints.
