Abstract

Occupational health and safety (OHS) is an essential element within a company, and human factors are considered one of the sources of workplace accidents that need to be controlled. To minimize the possibility of human error, reliable workers are required. This study aims to evaluate the reliability of human performance in the wood processing industry.

One of the methods used in assessing human reliability in this study is the Human Error Assessment and Reduction Technique (HEART). This method aims to identify the probability of human error in various tasks. Data collection for this method involves interviews and questionnaires based on Hierarchical Task Analysis (HTA).

Based on the implementation of the HEART method in UD. Timou Tou company, 4 tasks and 15 subtasks have been identified in the wood processing industry. There are 11 subtasks with reliability values ranging from 80% to 100%, categorized as very high reliability. Meanwhile, 4 subtasks have reliability values between 60% and 80%, categorized as high reliability.
