Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a public health problem because the number of sufferers continues to increase every year and spreads very quickly, occurring in almost all parts of Indonesia. Water reservoirs both inside and outside affect the incidence of DHF. The existence of wire netting is also one way to prevent contact between humans and vectors and disease-carrying animals. To minimize exposure to dengue. This study aims to describe the water reservoirs and the presence of wire netting to prevent DHF incidents in the Working Area of ​​the Kawangkoan Barat Health Centerr, Minahasa Regency. This type of researchh is a descriptive quantitative research using a cross-sectional study approach. The sample size is 100 respondents. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling and accidental sampling techniques. The measuring tool uses a checklist sheet. The results of this study indicate that the distribution based on an assessment of efforts to prevent dengue hemorrhagic fever through the application of 3M is more in the category of water reservoirs that do not meet the requirements, namely 59 respondents (59%). The distribution of efforts to prevent dengue hemorrhagic fever based on the presence of wire gauzee is more in the category that does not meet the requirementss, there are 97 respondents (97%).
