Abstract: Febrile seizures consist of simple and complex febrile seizures. Some studies indicate a relationship between age and gender and the type of febrile seizure, but others indicate no significant association. This study aimed to analyze the relationships among age, gender, and the type of febrile seizure in toddlers. This was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The analysis used secondary data, namely medical records of toddler patients hospitalized at Budhi Asih Cawang Regional Hospital between January and December 2024 with a diagnosis of febrile seizure. Data analysis was performed using SPSS for Windows, version 27 (2020), with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed obtained 112 toddlers as samples. Age and gender were fairly evenly distributed. There were 75 (67%) cases of simple febrile seizures, and 37 (37%) cases of complex febrile seizures. The chi-square analysis showed a statistically significant relationship between age and the type of febrile seizure (p<0.001). However, gender was not significantly related with the type of febrile seizure (p=0.742). In conclusion, there is a relationship between age and the type of febrile seizure in toddlers, but none is found between gender and the type of febrile seizure.
