STUDI PENGGUNAAN SEFTRIAKSON DAN GENTAMISIN BERDASARKAN LAMA TERAPI PASIEN PNEUMONIA ANAK RAWAT INAP DI RUMAH SAKIT
STUDY OF THE USE OF CEFTRIAXON AND GENTAMICYN BASED ON LONG THERAPY OF CHILD PNEUMONIA IN PATIENTS HOSPITAL
Abstract
Pneumonia is a disease that is a problem in various countries in the world, including Indonesia. Pneumonia in children requires appropriate antibiotic therapy, some of the antibiotics used include Ceftriaxone and Gentamicyn. The aim was to compare the duration of therapy between Ceftriaxone and Gentamicyn. Samples were taken from Yadika Pondok Bambu Hospital, East Jakarta and Mitra Paramedika Hospital, Yogyakarta in the period 2017 to 2020. This research method is descriptive research with retrospective data collection. Data taken from medical records are patient demographic data, patient characteristics, type of antibiotic, length of stay, duration of antibiotic therapy. The results of the study showed that the duration of Ceftriaxone and Gentamicyn therapy at Mitra Paramedika Hospital Yogyakarta was 2.0 days and 2.6 days shorter compared to Yadika Pondok Bambu Hospital, East Jakarta, which was 3.7 days and 4.3 days. From the results of this data, it shows that the trend of using antibiotics is equally effective for both long and short durations of therapy.
