                                                    ABSTRACT

      Under the tittle ‘’The Analysis of Anti-Superhero as Seen in the Film Suicide Squad (2016) by David Ayer’’. This study discussed about types of anti-superhero characters as seen in the film Suicide Squad (2016) How these types are revealed through anti-superheroes as seen in the film Suicide Squad (2016) This research uses a qualitative method. According to Charter and Thomas (1996: 31) Qualitative method is a method for analyzing and interpreting data about phenomena that are not easily reduced to numbers. In the Suicide Squad movie, researcher found that there are six types of antisuper-heroes, namely petty, dishonest, disgraceful, passive, fragile, and lonely. These types are reflected in the character depiction of the Anti-Superhero in the Suicide Squad film. Furthermore, in terms of characterization, the researcher analyzes the characterizations in four categories, namely direct statements of Suicide Squad as antisuperheroes, Suicide Squad actions as anti-super heroes, speech describing Suicide Squad as anti superHeroes, environmental depiction that Shows Suicide Squad as antisuperheroes. So it can be concluded that Suicide Squad is a representation of antisuperhero action which describes anti-superheroes who have perfect characteristics as an anti-superhero.
