Analisis Pengaruh Media Sosial terhadap Kinerja UMKM

Abstract


Abstract: This study aims to determine whether the use of social media affects the performance of Small Management Enterprise (SME). Performance of Small Business includes financial and non-financial performance. The results of this study will be used by the government and SME activists to find out the importance of social media in supporting Small Business performance. This study also analyzes the factors that influence the use of social media. Thus, the training on the use social media can be designed for business units that have not used it or whose use is still very limited. This research was conducted at SMEs in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The model in this study was tested using SEM based on variants, namely PLS. SEM-PLS can work effectively with small sample sizes with complex models and can be used for reflective and formative constructs. Testing in PLS is carried out on the measurement model and structural model. Founding from this study demonstrate that interactivity, cost effectiveness, and compatibility are factors that drive SMEs in the use of social media. Thus, the use of social media has a benefial impact on SME performance which includes performance in financial and nonfinancial.

 

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan media sosial berpengaruh terhadap kinerja Small Management Enterprise (UKM). Kinerja Usaha Kecil meliputi kinerja keuangan dan non keuangan. Hasil penelitian ini akan digunakan oleh pemerintah dan pegiat UKM untuk mengetahui pentingnya media sosial dalam mendukung kinerja Usaha Kecil. Penelitian ini juga menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penggunaan media sosial. Dengan demikian, pelatihan penggunaan media sosial dapat dirancang untuk unit usaha yang belum menggunakannya atau yang penggunaannya masih sangat terbatas. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada UKM di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Model dalam penelitian ini diuji menggunakan SEM berdasarkan variannya yaitu PLS. SEM-PLS dapat bekerja secara efektif dengan ukuran sampel yang kecil dengan model yang kompleks dan dapat digunakan untuk konstruksi reflektif dan formatif. Pengujian pada PLS dilakukan pada model pengukuran dan model struktural. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa interaktivitas, efektivitas biaya, dan kompatibilitas merupakan faktor yang mendorong UKM dalam penggunaan media sosial. Dengan demikian penggunaan media sosial memiliki dampak yang menguntungkan terhadap kinerja UKM yang meliputi kinerja di bidang keuangan dan non keuangan
