ABSTRACT
Nutritional status is directly affected by infectious diseases. One of the efforts to prevent infectious diseases is immunization. Immunization is a way to increase a person's immunity to a disease. This study aims to determine the relationship between the history of immunization and infectious diseases with nutritional status in children aged 24 - 59 months in the working area of Touluaan Health Center in Southeast Minahasa Regency. This study uses a correlation method with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents were mothers who had toddlers aged 24 - 59 months as many as 100 people in the Touluaan Health Center work area. Data were analyzed using SPSS, the statistical test used was chi-square by looking at the results of Fisher's Exact Test. The results showed that immunization history found 1 (1.0%) toddlers with incomplete immunizations, and a history of infectious diseases found 16 (16.0%) children under five who suffered from infectious diseases, divided by 7 people with ARI (7.0% ) toddlers and diarrhea 9 (9.0%) toddlers. The nutritional status of BB / U found good nutrition of 94 toddlers (94.0%) and malnutrition of 4 toddlers (4.0%). TB / U found normal 85 toddlers (85.0%) and short 15 toddlers (15.0%). BB / TB was found to be normal for 95 toddlers (95.0%) and thin 5 toddlers (5.0%). Bivariate analysis shows immunization history with nutritional status of BB / U p = 0.960, TB / U p = 0.850, BB / TB p = 0.950. History of infectious diseases with nutritional status BB / U p = 0.000, TB / U p = 0.000, BB / TB p = 0.028. There is no correlation between the history of immunization with nutritional status (BB / U, TB / U, and BB / TB), and there is a relationship between the history of infectious diseases with nutritional status (BB / U, TB / U, and BB / TB) in infants aged 24 - 59 months in the Touluaan Health Center work area.
