HUBUNGAN KECANDUAN GAME ONLINE DENGAN KELUHAN NECK PAIN PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT UNIVERSITAS SAM RATULANGI

Abstract


Mahasiswa mengalami neck pain disebabkan karena terlalu sering membuang waktu untuk memainkan game online selama ≥ 12 bulan setiap hari daripada melakukan aktivitas/kegiatan lainnya, apabila kalah dengan lawan bermain akan merasakan frustasi/stress dan bermain lagi untuk membalas kekalahan, merasa tidak puas apabila bermain kurang dari dua jam, bermain game online dengan posisi duduk (statis/diam) dan kepala menunduk ke layar permainan menjadi penyebab responden mengalami neck pain. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara kecanduan game online dengan keluhan neck pain pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Unsrat. Hasil penelitian didapatkan ada hubungan antara kecanduan game online dengan neck pain dengan tingkat kekuatan hubungan sangat kuat (angka koefisien korelasi 0,906**) dan kedua variabel searah (nilai correlation coefficient positif) yang artinya semakin tinggi/berat kecanduan game online responden maka semakin tinggi/berat pula mengalami neck pain.

ABSTRACT

Students experience neck pain because they often waste time playing online games for ≥ 12 months every day instead of doing other activities / activities, if you lose to your opponent you will feel frustrated / stressed and play again to avenge your defeat, feel dissatisfied when playing less From two hours, playing online games in a sitting position (static / still) and the head bowed to the game screen was the reason respondents experienced neck pain. The research objective was to determine whether there was a relationship between online game addiction and complaints of neck pain in students of the Unsrat Public Health Faculty. The results showed that there was a relationship between online game addiction and neck pain with a very strong level of relationship strength (correlation coefficient value 0.906 **) and the two unidirectional variables (positive correlation coefficient value) which means that the higher / heavier the respondent's online game addiction is, the higher / it is also hard to experience neck pain.
