GAMBARAN ASUPAN VITAMIN LARUT LEMAK MAHASISWA SEMESTER VI FAKULTAS KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT UNIVERSITAS SAM RATULANGI SAAT PEMBATASAN SOSIAL MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract


Negara di seluruh dunia saat ini sedang mengalami krisis kesehatan akibat pandemi penyakit Covid-19. Penyakit Covid-19 disebabkan oleh jenis Coronavirus yang baru ditemukan. Wuhan adalah kota pertama yang terdeteksi wabah penyakit Covid-19 pada Desember 2019. Hakikatnya tubuh manusia memiliki kemampuan untuk melawan invasi dari bakteri dan virus yang berhasil masuk ke dalam tubuh lewat saluran pencernaan, pernapasan atau jaringan kulit yang luka, yaitu  dengan membentuk sel-sel imun. Mekanisme kerja sel-sel imun dalam tubuh dipengaruhi oleh beberapa zat gizi. Zat gizi mikro seperti vitamin dan mineral memiliki peran khusus terhadap sistem imunologis manusia. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui gambaran asupan vitamin larut lemak mahasiswa semester VI FKM UNSRAT saat pembatasan sosial masa pandemi Covid-19. Jenis penelitian yaitu observasional deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat, Universitas Sam Ratulangi, Kota Manado pada bulan Mei-Oktober 2020. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa aktif semester VI TA 2019/2020 berjumlah 128 responden. Alat Ukur menggunakan formulir food record dalam 2x24 jam. Analisis data menggunakan Nutrisurvey 2007 dan SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian diperoleh asupan vitamin A responden berada pada kategori kurang (87,5%), asupan vitamin D responden berada pada kategori kurang (84,4%), asupan vitamin E responden berada pada kategori kurang (96,1%), asupan vitamin K responden berada pada kategori kurang (97,7%). Sebagian besar mahasiswa semester VI FKM UNSRAT memiliki asupan vitamin larut lemak pada saat pembatasan sosial masa pandemi Covid-19 kurang dari kebutuhan AKG yang dianjurkan.

ABSTRACT

Countries around the world are currently experiencing a health crisis due to the Covid-19 disease pandemic. The Covid-19 disease is caused by a newly discovered type of Coronavirus. Wuhan is the first city was outbreak detected of Covid-19 disease in December 2019. Basically the human body has the ability to fight invasion from bacteria and viruses that have managed to enter the body through the digestive tract, respiratory tract or injured skin tissue, namely by forming cells- immune cells. The mechanism of immune cells in the body is influenced by several nutrients. Micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals have a special role in the human immunological system. The research objective was to describe the intake of fat-soluble vitamins in the 6th semester students of FKM UNSRAT during the Covid-19 pandemic times of social distancing. This type of research is descriptive observational which was conducted at the Faculty of Public Health, Sam Ratulangi University, Manado City in may-october 2020. The research sample was 128 active students in semester 6th of 2019/2020. Measure tool using a food record form in 2x24 hours. Data analysis used the Nutrisurvey 2007 and SPSS version 25. The results showed that the respondents' vitamin A intake was in the low category (87.5%), respondents' vitamin D intake was in the low category (84.4%), respondents' vitamin E intake was in the low category (96.1%), respondents' vitamin K intake was in the low category (97.7 %). Most students of 6th semester FKM UNSRAT own intake of fat-soluble vitamins in the current social distancing to the pandemic Covid-19 is less than the recommended RDA needs.
