During the Covid-19 pandemic, the use of smartphones is increasing because the learning process is carried out online, so there is the possibility of increasing eye fatigue complaints. The research objective was to determine the relationship between distance and duration of smartphone use and eye fatigue complaints among students of the Public Health Faculty. The research method was an analytic survey with a cross-sectional research design. The research was conducted on students of the Faculty of Public Health. The sampling technique used a simple purposive sampling method with a sample size of 74 respondents obtained through an online questionnaire on the google form. The data analysis used was in the form of univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. Data processing used the chi-square test, for a significant level of 95% (= 0.05). The results of this study were obtained from 74 respondents, there were 61 (82.4%) respondents with complaints of eye fatigue due to smartphone use. The results showed that there was a relationship between smartphone usage and complaints of eye fatigue in students of the Faculty of Public Health (p-value = 0.024) and there was no relationship between the duration of smartphone use and complaints of eye fatigue in students of the Faculty of Public Health (p-value = 0.955). This study concludes that there is a relationship between the distance of smartphone use and eye fatigue complaints in students of the Faculty of Public Health.
