EVALUASI SENYAWA BIOAKTIF EKSTRAK KULIT BATANG KAYU TELOR (Alstonia scholaris (L.) R. Br) SEBAGAI KANDIDAT ANTIMALARIA MENGGUNAKAN PENAMBATAN MOLEKULER

ABSTRACT
Blackboard tree (Alstonia scholaris (L.) R. Br) is a type of forest wood that is often used by the people of North Sulawesi for the treatment of various diseases including malaria. According to previous in vitro studies, the extract of Blackboard tree bark had a high inhibitory value against Plasmodium falciparum. This study aims to determine the bioactive compounds extracted from Blackboard tree bark and to analyze their potential for the enzymes Dihydroorotat Dehydrogenase, Enoyl Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase and Dihydrofolate Reductase with molecular docking. The dry powder extract of Blackboard tree bark was dissolved using ethanol and chloroform by maceration process then analyzed using GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer) to determine the content of the compounds in the Blackboard tree bark extract. The analysis results obtained that there are probably 9 compounds in the ethanol extract and 60 compounds in the chloroform extract of Blackboard tree bark

ABSTRAK
Kayu Telor (Alstonia scholaris (L.) R. Br) merupakan jenis kayu hutan yang sering digunakan masyarakat Sulawesi Utara untuk pengobatan berbagai penyakit termasuk malaria. Menurut penelitian yang dilakukan secara in vitro sebelumnya, ekstrak kulit batang kayu Telor memiliki nilai penghambatan yang tinggi terhadap Plasmodium falciparum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui senyawa-senyawa bioaktif yang diekstrak dari kulit batang kayu Telor dan menganalisis potensinya terhadap enzim Dihidroorotat Dehidrogenase, Enoyl Acyl Carrier Protein Reductase dan Dihidrofolat Reduktase dengan penambatan molekuler. Ekstrak serbuk kering kulit batang kayu Telor dilarutkan menggunakan etanol dan klorofom dengan proses maserasi kemudian dianalisis menggunakan GC-MS (Gas Cromatography-Mass Spectrometer) untuk mengetahui kandungan senyawa dalam ekstrak kulit batang kayu Telor. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh terdapat kemungkinan 9 senyawa pada ekstrak etanol dan 60 senyawa pada ekstrak kloroform kulit batang kayu Telor.
