Abstrak

Unpredictable weather changes have become one of the major issues faced by many regions. Climate change and shifting seasonal patterns can lead to an increased frequency of natural disasters, particularly floods and landslides. Therefore, actions involving both the local government and the community—such as the Disaster-Responsive Village (Desa Tanggap Bencana) program—are necessary to enhance community preparedness in dealing with potential disasters. The success of the Disaster-Responsive Village initiative requires proper training and guidance, especially for village officials, to help them identify areas that are prone to natural disasters as well as zones considered safe. This objective aligns with the focus of the proposed community partnership program. This community service activity was conducted in Ranowangko II Village, Kombi District, Minahasa Regency. The location was selected based on information indicating that in 2024 a flash flood struck parts of Ranowangko II Village, with water levels reaching up to half the height of residential buildings. It is expected that the outcomes of this training and community partnership guidance will improve the knowledge of village officials and residents regarding potential natural disasters, as well as support efforts to mitigate and reduce the risks that may occur in the area.
